The Amendments to the Constitution
The ammendments were added after the Constitution was ratified and are changes, or extra given rights provided by the Constitution.
Bill of Rights
The bill of rights are the first ten amendments to the constitution
1st Amendment
The 1st amendment guarantees the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.
2nd Amendment
The 2nd amendment give you the right to keep and bear arms.
3rd Amendment
The 3rd amendment states that soldiers may not be quarted in Private homes.
4th Amendment
The fourth amendment protects against unwarranted searches.
5th Amendment
The right to a trial by jury and to not have to testify against yourself. The 5th amendment also states that no one can be given double jeopardy.
6th Amendment
The 6th amendment gives you the right to a speedy, fair trial.
7th Amendment
The 7th amendment gives you the right to a jury in civil cases.
8th Amendment
The 8th amendment prevents against cruel and unusual punishment or excessive bails.
9th Amendment
The 9th amendment states that while the constitution lays out certain rights, that doesn't mean those are all the rights you have.
10th Amendment
